Our Vision

Globe Star began as a vision:

that one day we'll all be captains of our own ship.

This vision was inspired by an actual sea captain named Marvin Creamer who accomplished two transatlantic crossings without instruments on his ship, the Globe Star. For his extraordinary accomplishments, he won the Blue Water Medal for the year's most meritorious example of seamanship in 1985. Captain Creamer recognized that a vision could only come true if it comes from the heart.

Today, Globe Star works closely with Individuals with disabilities, their families, and their communities. Globe Star promotes human growth potential through Gentle Teaching that enhances an Individual's quality of life -- the idea that one day we'll all be captains of our own ship.
