Gentle Teaching conference, Chicago, August 2005

Dr. John J. McGee, founder of the Gentle Teaching movement, shared his vision for the future of gentleness.

Tony and Kara discussed how the concept of quality of life applies to children.

Jeff (along with Tim, Theresa, and Mike G.) presented on Globe Star's work to incorporate Gentle Teaching into a residential setting using the Quality of Life model.

Amanda with colleagues from Denmark.

Not everyone enjoyed the presentations.

One of the benefits of an international conference is meeting new friends from other countries and cultures.

Tony expertly demonstrates his computing skills to our Danish visitors.

Jen had no trouble discussing the mystifying depths and intricacies of Gentle Teaching philosophy.  The sushi bar menu was a different story.

Father Dennis Blaney of Sharing Meadows joined us to present the keynote address.

Sharing companionship and community (and dinner!)

Tony and Amanda share their blessing cup.

Many thanks to Amanda for all her hard work!

Wait, what about me?!?

Special thanks to Cam Dore for some of the above photos.
